Becca Veazey Scogin Turner has a nice ring to it....

I am alive for all who were wondering. Although I would like to say that things have been very busy and my life has been crazy for the last 3 weeks, I wouldnt be telling the truth. Becca Turner as we like to call her, Emmett, and I have been doing a whole lot of nothing, if you call Rock Band nothing that is. I have to say (and follow up to Becca's blog), that BEK (our band, Becca, Emmett, Kathryn, Beck, Becca, it has so many levels) is pretty freaking awesome. You can check out pictures of us rocking out at blogin' scogin. Unfortunately I dont have my SLR yet (ahem, Emmett), so I cannot grace this blog with mine. Becca and I have recentley graduated to "hard" on the guitar. It adds so much depth to the music. Emmett and Becca also rock out on the drums (Im still working on them, the foot pedal gives me shin splints). I have to say we play a kick ass version of "Celebrity Skin" by HOLE, that is with Victoria on the mic. We have also been enjoying the non-existant waters at the lake (its really pathetic), and recently the awesomeness of the Georgia Bulldogs.
I did want to make mention of one thing Becca seemed to omit in her blog post. We had a Bees Knees come to Walton Way last weekend. I fixed a hell of a good Tapas spread and our other awesome friend Beth Anne Cudnik came over. What she failed to say is that I make a mean sangira, which has recently been spreading its fame all the way to Birmingham, AL, courtesy of Brown Johnson. Next stop...LA. Ill be on the TODAY show with it in no time. The recipe only gets out to select few so youll have to pass a test before you can be qualified to re-create it.
I wont be away too long this time...Next up on the blog: fake Mel is awesome.
